RECOVERY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To attain recovery by a small quantity of hardware by reducing the sizes of a reorder buffer and a future file in respect to a recovery device for executing recovery when a recovery factor is generated at the time of non-sequential execution. CONSTITUTION:This recovery device is provided with the reorder buffer 4 for registering a uniform rename number 43 corresponding to the register number 42 of a destination at the time of executing an instruction and a conversion table 3 for copying the register number 42 of the corresponding destination and the rename number 43 from the buffer 4 after writing (commiting) the instruction execution results of the instruction concerned and all preceding instructions in a register file 7. The register file 7 is referred by retrieving the newest effective rename number 43 from the butter 4 or referring to the table 3, and when a recovery factor is generated, the table 3 is referred.
