Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a microprocessor capable of quickly detecting a storing address to be minimum (or maximum) storage data out of plural storage data stored in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:A table retrieving circuit 10 inputs a reading address from an address pointer 6 together with storage data from a storage device 2 and inputs the storage data to an upper bit storing part 43A of an input port 43 in a computing element 3 and the reading address to a lower bit storing part 43B. The computing element 3 has a MIN instruction for comparing synthetic data stored in the input port 43 with calculated result data stored in an input port 44 and outputs the smaller value to an accumulator 5 as the calculated result data. Since the storage data and its address are synthetically included in the calculated result data, the storage address of maximum or minimum storage data can be quickly detected.
