Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a reproducer or a printer which is suitable for simplified and high speed processing of document image to define a print of adjusted view as a result. CONSTITUTION: Digital image dot data, corresponding to the document image to be reproduced, is analyzed by a device 100, and a layout of the document is decided and shown on a display 102. A specific layout factor such as a text column is selected by instructing it and an image-processing unit is instructed to process only the factor by an operator. Color printing, gradation adjustment, transfer, magnification/reduction are included in a processing operation. A layout analysis suitable for this application consists of two stages and the image information is searched for a claster to form a character, a graphic factor, photograph, etc., of an image dot with the information respectively in the first stage. Among set of the crusters, only an object to represent the character is divided into a text block, a line and a word by repeating processing in the second stage.
