DISC CASSETTE AND DISC APPARATUS USING SAME

PURPOSE:To perfectly protect a disc and make a whole cassette compact and thin by completely closing its access window by the combination of a resilient member and a lock means. CONSTITUTION:A torsion coil spring 5 is set in the bent state in a case 1 to urge a shutter member 2 by the resilient force at all times. Therefore, when the member 2 moves, it slides until its end part butts against a side wall part 33 of a shutter slide part 12. While the member 2 butts against the side wall part 33, the member 2 completely covers an access window 8. When a disc cassette is discharged out from a drive device 24, the cassette is pushed out from the device 24 by the force of the spring 5 and at the same time, the member 2 shuts the window 8. When the cassette is taken out from the device 24, an engaging part 3 of the member 2 is engaged with a recess 7 of a locking hook 6, thereby to hinder the movement of the member 2.
