BASE-ISOLATING FLOOR, AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To construct a base-isolating floor in a desired area by a method wherein support legs in required numbers are removed out of a double floor structure while a base is fixed to the remaining support legs, and a floor member is attached to the base through base-isolating springs. CONSTITUTION:Support legs 3 for constructing a double floor by bearing floor panels 2 and 2 with their heads are erected at specified intervals on a floor member 1. A device for base-isolating floor is installed to a specified position by removing, for instance, the support legs 3 in numbers necessary for securing a required space while fixing a base 4 to the remaining support legs 3, and by making a floor member 6 supported at its reverse side with base-isolating springs 5 erected on the base 4. A damping device 15 composed of an air damper is provided between the base 4 and the floor member 6 and is connected with linking devices 16, and horizontality of the floor member 6 is maintained thereby. In the case where the floor member 1 vibrates in the vertical direction because of earthquake or the like, the base-isolating springs 5 work on base isolation, and response vibration is damped and ceased by the damping device 15.
