Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain an optically active phenolic derivative by reacting a phenolic compound with an optically active secondary carbinol compound in the presence of a tri-substituted phosphine and a diazodicarboxylate or a diazodicarboxamide. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing an optically active tri-substituted methane compound expressed by formula III (R to R are each H or groups without participating in the reaction or the adjacent two are mutually bound to form a ring together with C; Q is an aromatic ring; R is a group without participating in the reaction; * denotes asymmetric C) is to react a phenolic compound, expressed by formula I and unsubstituted at the o- and/or the p- position with an optically active secondary carbinol compound, expressed by formula II and having an aromatic group at the alpha-position in the presence of a tri-substituted phosphine and a diazodicarboxylate or a diazodicarboxamide in an inert solvent (e.g. 1,2-dichloroethane) at -30 to +70 deg.C. The subject compound is useful as a medicine and a synthetic intermediate therefor and has treating and preventing actions on cerebropathy, cardiopathy, nephropathy and diseases in the pulmonary circulatory and respiratory systems, allergy, inflammation, etc. |
