PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To reduce the work load of a PC main body side CPU by generating an I/O constitution information from a basic constitution information for every remote I/O using the CPU of a transmission card and storing the generated information in a common memory during the generation of the I/O constitution information. CONSTITUTION:A basic constitution information for every station number of a remote I/O is converted into an auxiliary constitution information for every station number by a CPU 8 of a transmission card and is written into a common memory 6. Then, the auxiliary constitution information is read by a CPU 3 of a PC(programmable controller) main body and is written into a local memory 7 of the PC main body side as it is. Since the constitution information related to the remote I/O is written into the memory 6 as an auxiliary constitution information by the CPU 8 of the transmission card, a CPU 3 of the PC main body is only needed to copy the information and the load related to initial processes is greatly reduced.
