Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To record the information in either one of an optical reading system and a magnetic reading system with high resistance to stains and with a high density by printing the pattern of a code with a magnetic ink. CONSTITUTION:A code is printed on a printed matter 10 with a magnetic ink, and the matter 10 is sent to a feeding device 20 and magnetized by a magnetic head 22. The magnetized matter 10 is sent to a position under a magnetic sensor 24, and the magnetized code pattern is read by the head 22. That is, the sensor 24 reads the information that is coded after the code pattern is read at the position where it is magnetized. Thus, the correct information can be read even if the magnetized information is partly and magnetically destroyed. Furthermore, the sensor 24 also can read even a small magnetic part so that the code can be displayed small. As a result, the information of a high density can be supplied on a small surface.
