GRID POINT GENERATING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To generate grid point in each rectangular area with less indication by reducing rectangles, which are formed in display positions calculated by plural reference lines and deviation widths from them, by the deviation widths to generate grid point at equal intervals. CONSTITUTION:With respect to design of a building or the like in CAD, pairs of plural horizontal and vertical reference lines, which are inputted from an input means 3 and indicate partitions, and deviation widths of walls or the like corresponding to respective reference lines are stored as line information in a storage part 2. A line display position calculating means 10 of a processing part 1 calculates actual display positions from this line information, and a rectangle generating means 11 generates rectangles formed by horizontal and vertical reference lines of line information in calculated display positions. A rectangle reduction means 12 uses corresponding deviation widths of line information of reference lines forming the rectangles to generate rectangles reduced by deviation widths, and a grid point generating means 13 generates grid point at equal intervals in these reduced rectangles, and lines and grid point generated by the line display position calculating means 10 and the grid point generating means 13 are displayed.
