Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To accurately detect the amt. of the molten metal accumulated in the hearth part of a cylindrical refining furnace having a trunnion shaft by specifying the position where bottom blowing tuyeres are arranged in the furnace and detecting the amt. of the molten metal accumulated in the furnace from the dynamic strains of the trunnion shaft. CONSTITUTION:The plural bottom blowing tuyeres 12 of the refining furnace 1 having the trunnion shaft 2 are arranged in a direction orthogonal with the central axial direction X-X of rotation of the trunnion shaft 2. The positions for arranging the bottom blowing tuyeres 12 are so set as to exist in the region (hatched part) enclosed by two straight lines of 0.4R0 (R0 is the radius of the furnace bottom) perpendicular distance from the diameter of the furnace base in the direction orthogonal with the trunnion shaft 12, two straight lines of 0.2R0 of parallel distance from the direction X-X and an arc of 0.45R0 from the center of the furnace base. By this constructure, the dynamic strains in the axial direction of the trunnion shaft 2 are measure by a strain gage 6 and a dynamic strain measuring instrument 7 and only the peak parts of a spectrum intensity distribution curve of 0.3 to 3Hz vibration number range are integrated by an FFT analyzer 8. The intensity of the accumulated spectra is then determined and the change in the amt. of the molten metal accumulated with lapse of time is detected. |
