Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To produce a steel excellent in fatigue strength of its weld zone by incorporating a specified small amt. each of Nb and Mo into a low carbon steel or further incorporating Cu, Ni, Cr, V, Ti, etc. CONSTITUTION:A low carbon steel contg., by weight, 0.01-0.20% C, 0.01-1.7% Si and 0.01-2.0% Mn is prepd. and 0.005-0.1% Nb and 0.1-0.6% Mo are added to the steel or one or two among 0.05-3.0% Cu, 0.05-9.5% Ni, 0.1-9.5% Cr, 0.01-2.0% V and 0.005-2.0% Ti as elements increasing the strength of the steel are further added to the steel if necessary. The resultant steel is hot-rolled, annealed, hardened and tempered to obtain the objective steel having a high fatigue strength of its weld zone.
