VIEWING CONTROL METHOD OF CATV SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To rationalize the waste that a desired command is repeatedly and individually transmitted by transmitting the desired command to subscriber groups together after a desired group is designated by a group setting command. CONSTITUTION:A center device is composed so as to transmit the ID data and the viewing information data stored in an external storage means to an FSK modulator after the device reads the data in a data transmission part. In this case, new subscribers' IDs are read together in the data transmission part, for instance, a group setting command is generated. This group setting command is transmitted to each pertinent subscriber and new subscriber groups are formed. Continuously, the viewing channel control data for these new subscriber groups is transmitted to the data transmission part and the data as a control command for group is transmitted together to the new subscriber groups. Namely, after all the IDs of terminals where common initialization information should be transmitted are read, viewing information data may be read once.
