SPLASH PREVENTIVE MECHANISM OF PORTABLE ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To provide a splash-prevented portable electronic apparatus using a nickel-hydrogen battery by furnishing a step and a guide rail on one of the apparatus body and a battery pack, and furnishing a circumferential wall and a notch on the other. CONSTITUTION:A portable electronic apparatus is arranged so that a battery pack 2 can be fitted removably, and at the body 1 of the apparatus, a step is provided between a joining surface 3 and the boundary surface 4, and also a guide rail 5 is furnished in contact with the boundary surface 4. At the battery pack 2, a circumferential wall 11 positioned identially to the boundary surface 4 is formed, and also a guide groove 9 for the rail 5 is formed. At the bottom of the wall 11, a notch 12 is provided which is in contact with the undersurface of the step between the surfaces 3, 4. In the condition that the pack 2 is set in the body 1, the water intruding from the boundary between the body 1 and pack 2 is hindered by the step and rail 5 from farther intruding into the apparatus, and water flowing down while creeping on the boundary surface 4 is exhausted from the notch 12, and thus a portable electronic apparatus of splash prevented structure using a nickel-hydrogen battery is accomplished.
