ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

PURPOSE:To easily obtain the variation of a musical sound corresponding to the modulation of a musical performance and to enable even a beginner to play music with rich expression and much interest by detecting the modulation of the music performance and automatically varying the extent of effects. CONSTITUTION:The electronic musical instrument, which has a musical sound generating means for generating a musical sound on the basis of musical performance information and an effect adding means for adding effects to the musical sound generated by the musical sound generating means, generates the musical sound by the musical sound generating means on the basis of desired musical performance information, and adds the effects to the musical sound generated by the musical sound generating means by the effect adding means, has a detecting means which detects the modulation of the musical performance from the musical performance information and a control means which varies the effects added by the effect adding means when the detecting means detects the modulation of the musical performance meeting specific conditions.
