Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To oxidize CaS, FeS or MgS which is the residue of desulfurizing agent in coal gasification to chemically stable CaSO4, FeSO4 or MgSO4 not so as to leave unconverted material. CONSTITUTION:The residue of desulfurizing agent is pulled out together with the coal producing gas from a gasification furnace 11 and the residue is separated by a dedusting apparatus 41 and ground by a grinder 51 and oxidized by an oxidizer 61. Since the residue of the desulfurizing agent is oxidized after grinding, the residue can also be reacted even in the interior of the particles and be prevented from being left in a unconverted state.
