Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion between an inorg. powder and a resin or between inorg. powders themselves by coating an inorg. powder with a coating compsn. comprising an alkoxysilane, a silane coupling agent, and water. CONSTITUTION:A liq. contg. an alkoxysilane and water at least in such an amount that 100% of the alkoxysilane can be theoretically hydrolyzed is matured at a pH of not more than 3. Water is further added to bring pH to not more than 4. A silane coupling agent having two or more functional groups reactive with two or more hydroxyl groups in the resultant partial hydrolysate, a polymer, such as an acrylic resin, an epoxy resin, and an org. compd., such as a polyhydric alcohol, are added in an amt. of 30 to 100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. alkoxysilane to prepare a coating compsn. for an inorg. powder. An inorg. powder is coated with the coating compsn. by means of a Henschel mixer, and the coating is then dried to prepare a coated inorg. powder.
