AIR BAG DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide an air bag device which eliminates a need for reinforcing sections other than an easy rupture section so as to lessen the weight and the cost of the whole of the unit, and can develop an air bag at the early stage regardless of the folding ways of the air bag. CONSTITUTION:A cover body 31 is provided with each lid section 35 which is divided by an easy rupture section 33 to be easily ruptured by the developing force of an air bag, and is opened by rupture in such a way as to be formed into an opening for the development of the air bag, the lid section 35 is made up of an upper dividing rupture section 37, and of a lower dividing lid section 39 which are vertically divided by a vertically dividing rupture section 45 and side rupture sections 47 and 49, and the lower dividing lid section 39 is divided by two by a lower side center rupture section 51 and a lower dividing rupture section 53 so as to be divided into lower subdividing lid sections 41 and 43.
