AIR CONDITIONER FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To dispose an air conditioning unit in a cabin by forming it into a simple constitution even in an automobile of a semi-bonnet type in which an engine is placed longitudinally. CONSTITUTION:An engine room 23 and a cabin 24 in an automobile 21 are partitioned by a dash panel 25 along the form of the engine 22. An air conditioning unit 28 is a connected structural body of an almost L-letter shape comprising a blower unit 29, a cooler unit 30 connected on the back of it, and a heater unit 31 connected on the right side of it. The dash panel 25 is disposed to protrude toward the engine room 23 side at a front part of a front passenger seat 27b, and the air conditioning unit 28 is disposed at the part. The air conditioning unit 28 is disposed compact in a narrow space in the cabin 24, so measures for heat insulation or measures for sound proofing can be simplified, with assembling work also simplified. By removing a cover of an opening part provided in a floor surface of the cabin 24, maintenance of the blower unit 29 can be easily performed.
