SCREW FOR PRINTING DRUM AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To well closely bond respective screens each other by making it possible to simply and accurately perform sealing by integrally filling and sealing at least a part of the periphery excepting the central part of the polymer of a screen for a printing drum with a heat softening resin. CONSTITUTION:A screen for a printing drum is formed by superposing a screen 1 obtained by applying the vapor deposition of metal to the surface of a screen made of a synthetic fiber and a screen 2 made of a metal net one upon another. The periphery of this superposed screen X is filled and sealed with a heat softening resin 3. This heat softening resin 3 integrally seals the screens 1, 2 at the peripheries thereof. The heat softening resin 3 sealing the peripheral part of the superposed screen X is one having durability against printing ink for screen printing and, for example, a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyamide, polyester or polyurethane and a thermoplastic elastomer are pref.
