TREATMENT OF WASTE WATER AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To treat a waste water contg. COD and colorant to an extent that the treated water can be discharged into the river or public sewerage without need to discharge a concd. water having high contents of the COD and colorant in the original waste water and to provide a device therefor. CONSTITUTION:A waste water is firstly introduced into a separation membrane device 1 and separated into treated water and concd. water having high contents of COD and colorant. Since the treated water is reduced in COD and is practically colorless and transparent, the water is discharged into the river or public sewerage as such, and the concd. water is further sent to the succeeding emulsification stage. The concd. water is kneaded with a viscoelastic body by a kneader 2 to form an emulsified viscoelastic body with the elastic body as a continuoud phase and the concd. water as a disperse phase. The viscoelastic body emulsified in the kneader is batchwise or continuously exchanged for a fresh viscoelastic body and discharged to the outside as a waste viscoelastic body contg. all the COD and colorant in the concd. water.
