BATTERY OPERATED ELECTRIC APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption of a battery under nonoperating state by inserting a stop control circuit, for delivering a stop signal to a switch element upon finishing the control operation to turn the switch element OFF, between a battery and a control circuit through the switch element. CONSTITUTION:When a battery 2 is charged through a charging circuit S1, a microcomputor TC1 15 operated by an H level charging signal. Upon finishing the control operation of the microcomputor IC1, a stop signal of H level is delivered from the output terminal and a transistor Q3 is turned ON. Consequently, the collector thereof goes Low and the base current of a transistor Q2 is interrupted by the stop signal. The transistors Q2, Q1 are then turned OFF to interrupt power supply thus stopping the machine automatically. Since the transistor Q1 is turned OFF upon finishing the control operation of the microcomputor IC1, unnecessary discharge of the battery 2 can be prevented and the service life thereof can be prolonged.
