OPTICAL HEAD DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain an optical head device smaller in size and capable of responding at high speed by suppressing the oscillating phenomenon of a movable member in such a manner that the inertial force exerted to the movable member is offset when an objective lens driving part makes the high speed seeking integrally with a carriage. CONSTITUTION:A pin is provided at the lower part of a track holder 10, and an arm 5 is arranged in such a manner that the pin 4 is held there between in the direction of a track, and on the arm 5, a balancer 7 is provided at the position symmetrical to a rotary shaft 6 which is fixed on the carriage moving in the direction of the track between the driving part 1 and the innermost and outermost circumferences of a recording medium. When the high speed seeking operation is executed by the carriage 8, the inertial force is exerted to the movable member 3, but the inertial force is also exerted to the balancer 7 in the same direction, and it is transmitted to the track holder 10 through the arm 5 to become the force in the direction opposite to the inertial force exerted to the movable member 3 then transmitted to the movable member. Therefore, the oscillating phenomenon of the movable member is suppressed.
