Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the silver halide photographic sensitive material high in sensitivity to red LED and LD light source and good in color tone and whiteness after processing and superior in storage stability. CONSTITUTION:The photographic sensitive material has an optional layer containing a fluorescent whitening agent and a silver halide emulsion layer spectrally sensitized with a sensitizing dye stuff represented by the formula in which each of Z and Z1 is an atomic group necessary to form a 5- or 6-membered N-containing hetero ring; each of R1 and R2 is alkyl or alkenyl; R3 is alkyl, alkenyl, or aryl; and each of L and L1-L4 is a methine group.
