Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a speed control method which can realize stable constant speed running of a vehicle in a short period of time without giving burden to a driver. CONSTITUTION:A braking device control unit 8 starts control processing which controls the operation condition of auxiliary braking devices 3, 4 by ON signals of a set switch 5, monitors a difference between reference speed and actual running speed based on the signals detected by a speed sensor 6, and controls braking force based on the results of the monitoring.
