CARD OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To allow information such as a face photograph, etc., to be immediately recorded by providing an image receiving layer to be formed with an image by heating a thermal head at the part of a card base material and a writability imparting layer writable by a writing instrument on a card or the like such as a band card, a credit card, etc. CONSTITUTION:A card or the like 1 comprises an image receiving layer 3 formed partly on a card base material 2, a writable layer 4, embossed characters 5, a print 6, and a magnetic stripe 7. The layer 3 is formed of a material which can maintain an image formed by receiving dye to be transferred from a thermal transfer sheet such as sublimable dispersed dye, and provided on the material 2 directly or via adhesive or an intermediate layer. When an owner's face photograph is formed on the layer 3, the head is controlled to be driven, thermally printed according to a separate color symbols of color zones of the transfer layer of the transfer sheet, and the colors are superposed to form a color photographiclike image.
