Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the dimensions of a switchgear by providing a pair of vacuum switch tubes each having fixed electrodes parallel to each other inside a container filled up with an insulating gas and by simultaneously driving each movable electrode electrically connected at the same speed thereby reducing the voltage burden per one of the vacuum switch tube to one-half. CONSTITUTION:Vacuum switch tubes 4 and insulation supporting members 5 are arranged inside a drum container 1 filled with SF6 gas. Also, movable electrodes 4a inside right and left vacuum switch tubes 4 are driven up and down by an insulation operating rod 9 and are electrically connected by a movable conductor 14. On the other hand, the fixed electrodes 4b are installed in an upper portion of the vacuum switch tubes 4. Here, if the insulation operating rod 9 is raised, then the movable electrodes 4a lower and the vacuum switch tubes 4 are opened; if the insulation operating rod 9 is lowered, then the movable electrodes 4a rise and the vacuum switch tubes 4 are closed. As a result. the individual vacuum switch tube 4 having 1/2 rated voltage of the gas-insulated switchgear can be used thereby providing a compact construction.
