Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent seizure of molten metal to over-the-bath rolls and soaring up of metallic powder by attaining sufficient cooling of the molten metal on strip surfaces without direct contact of the over-the-bath rolls therewith as a technical task. CONSTITUTION:This over-the-bath rolls mechanism is composed of a pair of the over-the-bath rolls 1 existing on a hot dip metal coating bath and cooling pans 2 disposed right under the respective over-the-bath rolls 1 in such a manner that cooling water 10 to be immersed with the bottom ends of the over-the-bath rolls 1 is filled therein. The holding force of the over-the-bath rolls 1 on the strip(s) is acted via the water films and the molten metal is sufficiently cooled by the water films.
