Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prepare a polyimide resin compsn. which exhibits good sliding properties under high-load and high-speed conditions by incorporating a fiber reinforcement and a lubricating oil into a polyimide resin having a particular logarithmic viscosity number and particular repeating units. CONSTITUTION:1 to 80 pts.wt. fiber reinforcement (B) and 0.1 to 11 pts.wt. lubricant (C) are incorporated into 100 pts.wt. polyimide resin (A) of the formula I (X presents a direct bond, S, a C1 to C10 hydrocarbon group or the like, Y1 to Y4 represent each H, a C1 to C6 alkyl, an alkoxy, Cl, or Br and R1 represents an aliph. or arom. group) to prepare an oil-contg. polyimide resin compsn. for a sliding material. The component (A) is prepd. by reacting an ether diamine of the formula II with a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride to conduct thermal or chemical imidization. The component (A) has a logarithmic viscosity number of 0.45 to 1dl/g. The component (B) is a fiber of carbon, glass, ceramic, boron or the like, and the component (C) is an oil having a weight loss on heating at 300 deg.C of not more than 10wt.%. A molded product prepd. from the compsn. may be heat-treated at 250 to 350 deg.C to further improve the sliding properties.
