Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To make it possible to increase the number of rows of heat transfer tubes of a heat exchanger within the range of prior art outside dimensions and improve its capacity by folding a heat exchanger incorporated into an indoor unit. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 1 is folded in such a manner that an upper heat exchanger 1a and a lower heat exchanger 1b may have an angle at a specified and longitudinal position of fins 1c. The fins 1c are designed to connect the upper heat exchanger 1a with the lower heat exchanger 1b. Heat transfer tubes are provided with the number of 14 stages in two rows, where H stands for the height of an indoor unit while D stands for the thickness and Y for the minimum span between the fan 2 and the heat exchanger 1, only 13 stages will be available if an attempt is made to build the prior art heat exchanger without changing the dimensions H, D, and Y. This construction makes it possible to build in a larger heat exchanger within the outside dimensions of the prior art indoor unit, and moreover increase its suction area as well, and heat exchange with a larger air capacity in terms of the same noise value. It is, therefore, possible to increase its capacity dramatically. |
