Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain the subject protein useful for treating flooding, shock, burn, hypoproteinosis, fatal erythroblastemia, etc., by culturing a host capable of producing human serum albumin prepared by gene manipulation in an amino acid-containing medium. CONSTITUTION:Yeast as a host capable of producing human serum albumin, transformed by gene manipulation is inoculated into a medium containing 0.08-20W/V% of at least one amino acid such as alanine, aspartic acid, arginine, cystine, glutamic acid, histidine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, serine, tryptophan and valine and subjected to shaking culture at 30 deg.C for 89 hours. The culture solution is centrifuged, a supernatant liquid of the culture is subjected to ultrafiltration, treated with an ion exchange or by hydrophobic chromatography and a formed product is separated and purified to give the objective human serum albumin useful as a therapeutic agent for flooding, shock, burn, hypoproteinosis, fatal erythroblastemia, etc.
