Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve magnetic characteristics by a method wherein amorphous alloy thin strip is wound in a direction with which the thin strip is subjected to a heat treatment and an insulating film which insulates the winding layers of the amorphous alloy thin strip from each other is provided between the winding layers. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous alloy thin strip is wound so as to have its first end 1b inside and its second end 1a outside to form a first wound unit 1. After the first wound unit 1 is subjected to a heat treatment in a magnetic field, it is rewound. Then an insulating film 2 is provided on the amorphous alloy thin strip and the amorphous alloy thin strip and the insulsating film 2 are wound again so as to have the first end 1b inside and the second end outside to form a second wound unit (core) 10 in which the insulating film is provided between the winding layers of the amorphous alloy thin strip. With this constitution, in the manufacturing process of a core which requires a heat treatment and winding, a toroidal core having a high DELTABs =(¦-B¦+Bs) in the BH curve of the core can be manufactured.
