THRUST GENERATOR FOR IMPULSE THRUSTER

PURPOSE:To obtain combustion performance stably without generating any detonation by constructing an impulse thruster thrust generator for controlling advancing direction of a high speed missile by power thrust medicine, a pipe shaped container in which a plurality of holes are provided on a side surface part and for receiving the thrust medicine, and a squib for igniting the thrust medicine. CONSTITUTION:A seal material 9 is pasted on a pipe shaped container 1 in which a plurality of holes 2 distributed uniformly are provided on a side surface part and also in which a hole 5 with its diameter same as an inner diameter thereof is provided on a bottom part, so that respective holes 2, 5 may be sealed, and powder thrust medicine 4 is charged from a hole 10 formed on the front side of the pipe shaped container 1. When a squib 3 is charged in the front hole 10, the pipe shaped container 1 is fixed to a holder 8 by means of adhesive 7 and a screw part 11. The holes 2 on the side surface part of the pipe shaped container 1 are provided in such a way that the total hole area is set to be in a range from 10 to 40% of the side surface part area of the pipe shaped container 1. In the case of powder thrust medicine 4, oxidant and binder are mixed and hardened in a prescribed mutual ratio, and then they are powdered by means of a screen, and ammonium perchlorate is used as the oxidant.
