APPARATUS FOR BORING HOLE IN URETHANE FOAM

PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency for operations to bore holes in seeding and nursery urethane foams used in plant cultivation equipment in a vegetable cultivation factory, etc. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus for boring holes in urethane foams is constituted of a horizontal moving device 8 provided in a base frame 1 so as to move a nursery box 13 having the many cubic urethane foams 14 arranged and housed on the inner base thereof in the horizontal, front and rear directions with an electrically-operated servo actuator 6, a vertical moving member 4 installed in the base frame 1 so as to vertically move above the nursery box 13 through a lifting and lowering device, heating units 5 in a number corresponding to that of the cubic urethane foams 14 in the transverse arrangement in the nursery box 13 attached to the vertical moving member 4 and an operating panel (C) capable of operating the horizontal moving device 8, the lifting and lowering device and heating units 5. Thereby, holes having a slightly larger diameter than the seed diameter are bored in the urethane foam 14 with the heating units 5.
