GUI CONSTRUCTION TOOL

PURPOSE:To prepare a screen efficiently and with excellent flexibility and to improve productivity by treating screen components composed of parts and graphics as the components composed of equivallent plotting information and functional information and editing the screen components by an editing means. CONSTITUTION:This tool is a mixed type GUI construction tool displaying information through parts having active functions other than the display on a screen and screen components composed of characters, straight lines, circular arcs, elliptical arcs, polygons and rectangles to be displayed on the screen and constructing a GUI screen performing a conversation with a user. The tool has an input device 2, a display device 3, a registering device 4 registering plotting information defining shapes and colors, etc., of the screen components and functional information defining the functions of the parts and a processor 1 editing registered contents to the registering means in accordance with the instruction input to the input device 2 and making a display means display this edited result in a form that graphics and parts are mixed.
