DRY PULP FOR PAPER MANUFACTURING

PURPOSE:To obtain dry pulp capable of forming paper or paper base materials good in dimensional stability to environmental humidity variation, by drying a pulp sheet under tensile force in the processes following the press process of its production. CONSTITUTION:A suspension of unbeaten broadleaf bleached kraft pulp is made into a pulp mat which is then subjected to press dehydration to form a pulp sheet, and uniaxial or biaxial tensile force is applied to the pulp sheet to give it an extensional strain of >=0.5% followed by drying, thus obtaining a rigid dry pulp sheet retaining straight shape =8 in curl factor. This dry pulp sheet is immersed in water and disaggregated and then blended at 10-100wt.% with undried kraft pulp followed by conducting a papermaking process to obtain paper or a paper base material excellent in dimensional stability.
