Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To execute unitary monitoring so that instrument control for clearance generated in a drive system of rolling mill is done in good precision and is not of either over-maintenance or under-maintenance and relationship between deterioration of equipment and stable operatability is made clear. CONSTITUTION:Displacements corresponding to the horizontal (X) direction, thrust (Y) direction and vertical (Z) direction of a work roll in the drive system of rolling mill are measured by sensors 10, 13, based on the measured information, data processing/display are done by CPU31, 32 and then the clearances in drive system are unitarily monitored.
