Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent rapid rising of dew point, melting, etc., by previously adding water in a quantity equivalent to the quantity of water to be evaporated from a wet coating layer at the head part of a photosensitive material to air in a drier zone. CONSTITUTION:Air used in a previous cycle is sent to a ventilating apparatus 2 through a supplying pipeline 1a after water is removed from the air by leading the air to a dehumidifier 9. The air blown to an air blowing pipeline 1b from the ventilating apparatus 2 is led to an air conditioning apparatus AC provided with a cooling part 3, a heating part 4, and a humidifying part 5. Moreover, the dried air is sent to an initial drying chamber 6 in a drier zone DZ from an outlet pipeline 1c. At that time, steam is sprayed to a humidifying part 5 by driving a control valve 11a of a head part countermeasure spray apparatus 11 and excess water in quantity equivalent to the quantity of water to be evaporated is previously added to air to be sent to the initial drying chamber 6. The dew point is thus prevented from rising abruptly at the time when the head part of a web W having a not dried coating layer breaks into the initial drying chamber 6.
