Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a food composed of docosahexaenoic acid as a core and an agar layer covering the outer surface of the core, free from characteristic smell of docosahexaenoic acid to enable easy taking and exhibiting the excellent effect of docosahexaenoic acid. CONSTITUTION:This food is an extremely soft small capsule containing docosahexaenoic acid(DHA) or its edible derivative as the core and having an agar-containing layer covering the core. The food is produced preferably by using a seamless miniature encapsulation apparatus. Concretely, a small sphere is produced by simultaneously discharging water or a fruit juice through the innermost tube of three concentric small tubes constituting the apparatus, DHA through the intermediate tube and an agar-containing liquid through the outermost tube and introducing the discharged liquids into a low-temperature liquid. The DHA is preferably used in the form emulsified with an emulsifier such as a sucrose fatty acid ester.
