Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide an electric contact plate which is capable of excellent assembly, suitable for miniaturazation and cost reduction and capable of reliable switching operation, and to provide a switching mechanism using it. CONSTITUTION:A switching mechanism 20 to ON/OFF-control a main switch consists of an electric contact plate 9 used in contact with an electric connection 8 and a lens barrier 7 to move the electric contact plate 9 to the electric connection 8 side. The lens barrier 7 slidable to the electric contact plate side and the counter electric contact side is provided with a protrusion 7a in contact with the receptacle of the electric contact 9. The electric connection 8 has a contact board 8a and a contact board 8b, and when both contact boards 8a, 8b are conducted with each other the main switch of a camera mainframe is turned ON. The electric contact 9 is formed with a conductive and electric spring member and integrally provided with a spring electric portion 9a and electric contact portions 9b, 9c in contact with the electric connection 8.
