ENGINE CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To avoid the situation that the control using the data becomes impossible by limiting an electrically deletion and write possible nonvolatile memory in the number of times of writing and generating the data destruction due to the excess of the number of times of writing. when the memory is used for the storage of data whose update is frequent. CONSTITUTION:An area storing the number of times of writing is saved at the inside of the EEPROM 9 within an engine controller 1. Before performing a writing in the EEPROM 9, the value is checked. When the value becomes the number of times of limitation, the writing of data is not performed. When the value is still smaller than the number of times of limitation, the writing of data and the number of times of writing are made incremental and they are stored in the EEPROM 9. Thus, the number of times of data rewriting in EEPROM 9 can be limited and the failure by the data destruction due to the excess of the number of times of writing in the EEPROM 9 can be evaded.
