When forming a color image, the exposer 30 moves to respective positions Ha, Hb, Hc and Hd and successively exposes respective photosensitive objects 41, and any relevant developer develops the latent images of these photosensitive objects 41. Then, four chargers 70a, 70b, 70c and 70d for transfer are successively and selectively operated, corresponding to that determined sequence as well. Then, recording paper 51 is operated, so as to be circulated through the endless track of an endless track belt 60.
