Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide artificial snow particles composed of a core made of a specific highly water-absorbing resin granule and ice surrounding the core, having a snow particle structure similar to natural dense snow and suitable for the slope of an indoor skiing ground, etc. CONSTITUTION:This artificial snow particle is composed of (A) a core made of a highly water-absorbing resin particle and (B) ice surrounding the core A, wherein the core A keeps the granular state free from mutual tackiness even in water-absorbed state, absorbs 30-500 times weight of deionized water and has a particle diameter of 0.05-5mm in water-absorbed state. Preferably the highly water-absorbing resin of the core A is a polyacrylic acid salt, a copolymer of vinyl, alcohol and an acrylic acid salt or a saponified copolymer of isobutylene and maleic anhydride and the weight ratio of the ice of the component B to the highly water-absorbing resin of the component A (ice/resin) is 5-100.
