Then the control part 5 specifies the transmission of a bus request signal to the external storage medium to a bus request part 40. Further, the control part 5 accesses the memory of the connected external storage medium through the bus 5. Consequently, when the storage medium is mounted on the electronic equipment, the CPU of the electronic equipment can access the memory of the storage medium directly without the intervention of the CPU of the storage medium.
