STORAGE MEDIUM AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ON WHICH THE SAME IS MOUNTED AND DEMOUNTED

PURPOSE:To increase the access speed and enable frequent access by providing a connecting means which is connected to external electronic equipment through a bus line and a bus releasing means which releases the bus connecting a CPU and a memory to the external electronic equipment. CONSTITUTION:A card connection detection part 20 is connected to the connector 30 on the side of host equipment and detects whether or not a detachable external storage device which has a CPU internally is connected, and sends a detection result to the control part 5 on the host equipment side once detecting the connection. Then the control part 5 specifies the transmission of a bus request signal to the external storage medium to a bus request part 40. Further, the control part 5 accesses the memory of the connected external storage medium through the bus 5. Consequently, when the storage medium is mounted on the electronic equipment, the CPU of the electronic equipment can access the memory of the storage medium directly without the intervention of the CPU of the storage medium.
