CONSTITUTION:A safety fence for a work comprises a plurality of fence panels 4a intercoupled in such a manner to be foldable and erected on the floor l of the periphery of a manhole 2; and a plurality of fall prevention panels 4f and 4g coupled in a fall and rise manner to the lower end part of the fence panel 4a and laid over floors 1 on both sides of the fence panel 4a.
