PAPER FEEDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To favorably correct the skew of the paper sheet irrespective of the degree of stiffness of the paper sheet even in the case where the carrying distance of the paper sheet is short. CONSTITUTION:In a paper feeding device, in which the laminated paper sheets are carried one by one by a paper feeding roller 4 and the tip of the paper sheet is pushed to carrying rollers 6, 6' so as to be deflected for correction of skew, a projection 3g is provided on the way of a paper carrying passage between the paper feeding roller 4 and the carrying rollers 6, 6', and a guide member 51 is also provided over the projection 3g. The paper sheet carried by the paper feeding roller 4 is made to abut on the projection 3g so as to be curved upward, and the paper sheet is directed to the carrying rollers 6, 6' again by the guide member 51, and pushed to the carrying rollers 6, 6' for correction of the skew. Even in the case where the distance between the paper feeding roller 4 and the carrying rollers 6, 6' is short and straight, paper sheets can be securely curved, and even the paper sheet such as a thick paper sheet with high stiffness can be curved, and the skew of the paper sheet can be corrected.
