Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacturing an insulated wire capable of reducing uneven thickness ratio of an insulating film. CONSTITUTION:A metal wire 10 is up/down inverted by guide sheaves 4, 6 and feed rollers 5, 7 serving as an inverting mechanism, to apply a synthetic resin enamel coating baked by two times or more. Particularly, it is preferable to perform paint baking in up/down order. Accordingly, upper/lower uneven thicknesses of a painted wire, generated when painted, are canceled to a certain extent by inverting the painted wire and further by performing the paint baking. Consequently, uneven thickness ratio of an insulating film 9 can be decreased.
