Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To design many control polygons and writing motions corresponding to a diversity of fonts on the basis of one control polygon and to easily generate different fonts for one character. CONSTITUTION:A font and a figure is generated on a writing surface model 24 (OO-OXOYO coordinate plane) defined on an O-OXOYOZ (O) coordinate system by using a writing tool model 21 defined on a PO-PXPYPZ(P). The control polygon corresponding to the font or figure to be generated is designed previously on the O coordinate system, and a smooth font motion model is generated by using a local base function weighted with the coordinate values of the respective vertexes. A position component 23 of the front motion model shows time variation in the position of a representative point 25 of the writing tool model 21 in the O space and an attitude component of the font motion model shows time variation in the gradient of the P coordinate system to the O coordinate system. At certain time, the writing tool model 21 and writing surface model 24 cross each other and then a font element piece 26 is generated; and further the whole image of the font of figure is automatically obtained.
