Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a covered carrier which is suitable for fixing organic molecular such as protein and a method of manufacturing thereof. CONSTITUTION: An inactive carrier is covered thereover with a monomolecular layer made of a special polymer so as to obtain a covered carrier. This polymer contains 0.8 to 20mol.% of comonomer having at is one end a reactive group which is covalently bonded to protein or another organic molecular to be fixed, through a spacer group, and 0 to 200 of monomolecular layers made of the polymer which does not contain a reactive group for improving the bonding between the carrier and the molecular layer are laid therebetween. Thus manufactured covered carrier can fix protein or another organic molecular with a high degree of efficiency and a high degree of reproducibility.
