CONCRETE BLOCK GRIPPING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To grip and load a plurality of concrete blocks without resorting to human labor by pressing pressing plates on both side ends toward a center by a hydraulic cylinder to move all the pressing plates toward the center in conjunction so that concrete blocks are gripped simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Each block pressing plate 4 of a concrete block gripping device A is lowered down to a place where a plurality of concrete blocks a are arranged in parallel in the condition in which each pressing plate A is open. Each pressing plate 4 is positioned between blocks (a) and the pressing plates on both side ends are positioned outside of the blocks (a) on both ends. A hydraulic cylinder 12 is operated to move the pressing plates 4 on both side ends toward a center. This travel of the pressing plates is transmitted to each of the other pressing plates 4 via cross arms 10a, 10b of a pressing plate lateral traveling device 10 to move the pressing plates 4 toward the center along an upper frame 1a and a lower frame 1b. Consequently, each block (a) is gripped between respective pressing plates 3. This gripping device A is mounted on a fork claw via a turn table 14.
